Purpose:
|
This study was conducted to determine the prevalence of visual disorders among patients with muscular dystrophy attending to Booali Hospital in Tehran.
|
|
Methods:
|
In this cross-sectional comparative study, 100 patients with muscular dystrophy attending to Booali Hospital in Tehran were enrolled and the prevalence of visual disorders among them was determined.
|
|
Results:
|
In this study it was seen that 52% of subjects had visual disorder. There was significant association between visual disorders with male gender and BMI (P < 0.05).
|
|
Conclusion:
|
Totally, according to the obtained results in this study it may be concluded that visual disorders are seen in half of patients with muscular dystrophy and is multi factorial.
