Purpose:
To evaluate the quantitative measurement in patients with CRVO and compare with healthy control group
Methods:
31 patients and 20 healthy controls were recruited in this case control study. The complete ophthalmologic examination was done for each subject
Results:
31 patients (18 nonischemic and 13 ischemic) with the mean age of 60±13 were included. flow inside the circle with 1mm radius in macula in superficial capillary network (1.171 ± 0.262 vs. 1.453 ± 0.105), deep capillary network (1.042 ± 0.402 vs. 1.526 ± 0.123) and choriocapillary (1.206 ± 0.543 vs. 1.966 ± 0.05 ) reduced significantly in patients vs. control group (p<0.05). whole vascular density, parafoveal vascular density and foveal vascular density were significantly difference between patients and control group both in superficial (45.92 ± 4.2 vs. 52.85 ± 2.99, 47.04 ± 5 vs. 55.01 ± 3.45 and 36.47 ± 9.78 vs. 30.63 ± 6.44 ) and deep (48.03 ± 4.71 vs. 58.2 ± 2.65, 49.65 ± 5.4 vs. 60.87 ± 3.55 and 34.15 ± 12.36 vs. 28.99 ± 7.97) capillary networks respectively (p<0.05).
Conclusion:
Vascular density and flow were significantly reduced in patients with CRVO. OCTA can differentiate the ischemic CRVO from non ischemic CRVO
