Purpose:
|
To define the characteristics of post pterygium surgery keratitis
|

Methods:
|
10 Consecutive patients with keratitis after pterygium surgery were included in the study. Most of the were males( 60%).
|
|
Results:
|
The most common pathogen was staphylococus epidermidis, most of patients were referred in late stages of keratitis, needing tectonic procedures.The range of clinical detection was from 1week to 2 months. All of them were involved in using mitomycin in surgical procedure.

Conclusion:
|
Post pterygium surgery keratitis is a neglected entitiy needing more and curios follow up for detection.
